These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. – 1x Cadian Infantry Transfer Sheet, featuring 597x transfersĪll models are supplied with their appropriate bases. – 1x Armoured Sentinel, which can also be built as a Scout Sentinel – 1x Cadian Command Squad, comprising 5x models Therefore QuickShade is the better product of the two, but it does cost nearly twice as much. This set includes the following multipart plastic models: Additionally I noticed that the QS doesnt stain and dull colors as much as I remember the Miracle Dip method did. The miniatures in this box come with loads of options, allowing you to really personalise your force. The contents have been chosen to provide you with a stoic core for any Astra Militarum force, ideal for Combat Patrol-sized games – which require 25 Power Level's worth of models – and will also save you money compared to buying the contents individually. Prove that Cadia still stands with Combat Patrol: Astra Militarum! This boxed set provides you with all the units you need to start your army or expand an existing collection. Amongst the Astra Militarum's massed regiments, the born soldiers of Cadia are some of the most disciplined warriors to be found – tough marksmen trained for a lifetime of grim duty. They are the men and women who hold the line, a bulwark standing between Humanity and a nightmarish galaxy of horrors. The Astra Militarum are the backbone of the Imperium's largest armies. I have had bad results if I didn't wait between the steps, with the Quickshade constricting and creating a cracked earth type. Make sure to wait for 3 days between the Quickshade and applying a spray varnish. To counter this I spray on a coat of matt varnish. the dip I use (strong tone) works best on brownish/reddish/natural colors (so perfect for my beastmen!).DATA PREMIERY/WYSYŁKI: - data wysyłki może ulec zmianie, jeśli dystrybutor nie dostarczy produktu na czas. The Quickshade dip is also a gloss varnish, so it will leave your models very shiny. It's usually better to use a color one (or 2) shades lighter than usual coz the dip will make it look like a darker color experiment a bit with the basecoat colors. i do some basic highlighting before the dip and a bit afterwards to re-highlight I always use white primer to help the mini's not getting TOO dark Let it sit for a minute and then remove excess blobs of dip with a spare brush Apply the dip generously with a brush to have more control. Some things that I learned and might be useful to anyone trying out dipping: Here some examples of my beastmen that were dipped (you can see more pictures following the link below): I know the result is still far from perfect compared to people that really know how to use a brush but for me dipping has really helped me improve my models and speed up the painting at the same time. I'm a fan of the dip as well! I'm not a great painter and used to get very frustrated when I couldn't get stuff to look right and then give up. Not seen any difference on the application to different paint ranges. Less time painting equals more time gaming. I tend to mainly just use Army Painter paints these days (mostly as the courier they use has a depot down the road from me so if I'm not in it's no hassle to pick the parcel up) but do mix in a few citadels and old humbrol acrylics. It will allow you to do a lot of miniatures very quickly, Orks and Tyranids especially. Up to you if you think the inking works but I love them. who am I kidding, it'll never be smashed). My painting style is messy and I'm too lazy to go for large amounts of highlights yet (I may go back and highlight in my older years when the lead pile has been smashed. I tend to use Strong Tone for more evil armies so my more recently painted Skaven have been done with it. My Elves have been done with Soft Tone (and a fair bit of the painted Empire stuff) here I'd agree with all of the above, the dips aren't great but the inks are excellent.
